Why do Nigerian Chelsea fans hate this guy

Hi to all Chelsea fans out there,its been a while since I last posted on my blog. So sorry for that but have been busy with other things I couldn't just neglect. I will go straight to the point without beating about. Recently we lost a cup in Monaco where most Chelsea fans thought we would defeat Athletico Madrid having acquired one of the most sought after midfielder in the World(Hazard),but reverse was the case as one of Chelsea targets in the transfer market,Falcao scored thrice to allow Athletico defeat us comfortably by 4-1. First of all,you don't play an all attacking football while your defence line is vulnerable against a spanish club because they are better in attacking and counter attack,you just can't allow them spaces in your box or give them your midfields and wings and expect them not to punish you. I felt Chelsea would have won if we had stuck to the game plan we deployed at Nou Camp and Munich which were both successful,a tactics that restricted our two defensive midfielders from going forward and remain vigilant. It also allowed our other midfielder to support the back four and allowed for any counter attack. The game against Athletico Madrid showed weakness in our defence and our creative midfielder couldn't open up the defence and create space for our only striker to score. In all fairness,the whole team is to be blamed for the piss poor encounter but Chelsea fans in Nigeria preferred to blame just the striker,Fernando Torres. Torres has never being a favourite to them ever since he threw away an open net against Manchester Utd at Old Trafford. The price tag made matters worst and even after some brilliant goals last season,the Euros and this season didn't change their orientation,yet he is the sacrificial lamb when we play bad football and I come to wonder why I fail to see things in their own way. One mistake El-Nino made was to sign for Chelsea,he would have instead gone to another team where there is team work like Man utd,Arsenal or Barcelona, there he would have been banging in goals. Every striker that ever came to Chelsea during or after Didier Drogba failed to perform because the whole Chelsea team and tactic were built around DD and any striker that does not play like DD will suffer in that role. What Chelsea should have done before selling DD was to get a player that play similarly like him.Lukaku was acquired to fill in that role but clearly the young lad needed more training and now he has been loan out to West Brom where he is performing great. In my own opinion I would have preferred someone like Cavani,Falcao,Hulk,or Ibrahamovic in that role rather than bringing in Torres. Torres can only shine and get his form back if Chelsea build their team around him and change their tactics to suit his style of play. Its high time you Nigerian Chelsea Fans start accepting the fact that DD is no longer with us and Torres can never play like DD because he has to write his own story in Chelsea and be a legend in his own way. Man up El-Nino and let all Nigerians know you are up to the task,prove them wrong and let the swallow their owns words. Chelsea Need Young Talents

Chelsea Football Club,what a lovely Club art thou,the European and FA cup Champions. We are happy to be proud winners of two trophies last season but we aren't really proud with our style of play,many have so much complained about how we lack creativity in squad. I know not many will agree with me but the way we played against Barcelona and Bayern were so uninteresting,hopeless and fearful. Uninteresting because there was no beauty in our game,we started with two left backs in the game against Bayern just because of the threat of Robben from the left flank.We stayed back and defended all through against both teams(Barca,Bayern). Hopeless,because there were no signs we would win those matches,our style of play without creativity means we have to sit down,watch how fate decides the matches for us.Fate favoured us though. Fearful,because we were so outplayed,we felt it was only a matter of time before we concede goals.I as a Chelsea fan watched the game against Barca with my heart beating so fast that I had to stand up at intervals just to ease the tension in my chest.The game against Bayern was worse,I was so scared,fearing we were going to loose in two Champions League finals.My fear got worse when Thomas Muller scored the opener with few minutes left on the clock.Fate chose us and we won. Few factors are to be considered to implement this sexy football we crave for: 1)Creative passes 2)Attacking Instinct 3)Speed and Accuracy 4)Boldness and skills (1)Creative passes:This is not found in all midfielders,good examples of players that possess this ability are Xavi,Iniesta,Fabregas,Sneidjer,Etc, in Chelsea we have just Lampard in this Category.We noticed how we struggled to win games under AVB just because Lampard was on the bench,there was nobody to take up that role efficiently.Lampard must be at his best for Chelsea to win matches,his impacts when he was at his best proves this.We need more midfielders with this same ability to join Lampard in the middle. (2)Attacking Instinct:Most of our players except few are defensive minded.We think mostly of how to defend than attack.Football is no longer about sitting at your half and defending for 90minutes,praying your opponent make one defensive miskake for you to capitalize on.Our midfielders and attackers must have an attacking instinct,must have the goal of making sure their opponents are never comfortable. (3)Speed and Accuracy:This is very essential,the ability to outrun your opponent in play,ability to chase & win loose passes,ability to meet a through ball and bury it accurately at the back of the net.Players with these ability are C.Ronaldo,Messi,Aguero,etc.Just two players have this in Chelsea,Torres and Ramires.Speed Demons are every where but one with accuracy is what we need. Two bad examples are Wright Phillips,Downing. Now you know what I mean when I say Speed and Accuracy. (4)Boldness and Skills:This is what all Chelsea Players lack.We have no player that have the boldness to take on his man,we have no player that have the skills to take on his man and dibble past him.In most of our games,we found ourselves playing passes in the middle of an attack all the way back to the Goalkeeper just because we have no player that has the Boldness and skills to dribble and go past his man. Now that we have acquired the most sought after cup,the Uefa Champions League,we can forget about trophies for now and try and build a formidable team that will grow with all these attributes. We need young talented bloods like Moira,Neymar,Lucas Paizon,Hazard etc,young talents that will play together for a long period of time,because the more time they play,the better understanding among them. Its time we start building our class of young talents to take over from our old and tired men who laboured so much for the trophies in our cabinent.Its time we watch our team with confidence and though we loose,we can still raise our heads up high as the better team. Football is not about winning trophies all the time but also about Entertainment. I dont know about you but I love to see CHELSEA changing to a sexy style of play,boasting of young talents with very expensive Release Clauses that clubs will beg to have in their teams. Chelsea £50 El-Nino Back For Real

Chelsea's El-Nino scored a brace last night in the Euros,the striker's form was the major talk through out last season,with some saying he needed to be sold because he was a wasted commodity.The fans of other clubs like Manchester Utd,Arsenal,Barcelona,Liverpool etc,mostly mocked him by calling him 50cents El-Nino is not the only player who has failed to perform in the Blues Colour,we still remember Crespo,Pizzaro,Shevchenko,Veron,Maniche,Delhorno etc,these are players that came to Chelsea when they were in a very good form but failed to perform when they arrived at the Bridge.This could be due to the fact that Chelsea is a club full of World Class Players,so every player has to be at their extra best to succeed at Chelsea. The presence of Drogba,the crowd's favourite,a player who has scored in every final the Blues has ever played in Wembly,a player that can never be forgotten for his wonderful and crafty goal,this player's presence put a lot of pressure on El-Nino,it reduced his confidence as a striker and made him too eager to impress at the Club,perharps he tried too hard and that's why he missed so many chances he would have scored when he was a Liverpool player. One other thing I noticed is that Drogba and El-Nino are two different players entirely,one loved his ball played in his front while the other wait to collect his ball before beating his man,this makes it very hard to play to El-Nino's style,as his team mates are already used to Drogba's style of play. A completely different El-Nino took the stage yesterday night at the European Cup game between Spain and Ireland.After he was left out of the starting line up in the first game against Italy,in a game that got the spanish fans angry for squandering lots of chances when he came on as a second half substitute. It took him only the fourth(4th) minute for him to release a superb shot that rocketed past Shey Given into the net.He played with the superb confidence we once knew and rewarded his Coach with another goal.His brace for the night made him the highest goal scorer for Spain in the competition alongside Cesc Fabregas,who scored the fourth goal few minutes after he was introduced in the game. Fabregas has played as much as El-Nino in the European competition and they both have the same number of goals,given that he is a midfielder,I am really amazed at the way Fabregas is performing in the Center Forward position. If El-Nino continues in this form,am sure he will bury more goals in this European Cup,and that's just what he needs to cement his place in Chelsea next season. With Drogba out of the picture now,El-Nino seems to be the man to take his place.With the purchases of Marko Marin,Eden Hazard,likely Modric and Hulk in Chelsea,am sure these are just the right people to give him those incredible passes for him to score next season.I really cant wait to see El-Nino scoring those incredible goals next season,and I believe this time he is back for good. Elsewhere it has been confirmed that RDM has been offered the Chelsea job for two years(2years). Its a good sign,am just angry he was taken so much for granted,while it took so long for him to be offered the job. He should have been given the job right after he secured the UCL trophy rather than Chelsea flaunting themselves around the Ex-Barca man. Harry Redknapp has also being sacked as the Tottenham boss.I take it as a good sign because it simply means Modric can leave Tottenham and I hope he signs for Chelsea.I am not against our purchases so far,I only prefer Modric to our other tranfered players because he has been in the EPL for so long and knows how the game is played in England.We know from past occurences that not all players perform in the EPL when they come in from other Leagues. Chelsea's Unsung Hero

Chelsea became the first club in London to win the Prestigious Champions League Trophy,their ever first in the club's history.I know past a month now,but the memory still lingers on. Undoubtedly,all the Chelsea players deserve credit and praise for the roles they each played to ensure a double this concluded season.Players like Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard,Peter Cech,Ramires were mostly singled out and praised by football lovers for their heroic performances in the Uefa Champions League final. No doubt these players performed wonderfully well but I still feel there is still one player that wasn't given a special acknowledgement,a special recognition he so deserved. This player was bought as an attacking minded midfielder and converted to a defensive midfielder during Mourinho's tenure in Chelsea,struggled to perform at his best every season,a targeted scapegoat for Chelsea woes by Sport pundits etc. During AVB's short tenure at Chelsea,this player found himself demoted to the bench for a costly mistake he made against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge,that mistake not only gave Liverpool the lead but also put him down the pecking order,with Miereles,Romeo and even Essien when the latter came back from injury. I must say this,no player is above mistake,we have seen many players in this situation before but yet were not demoted,a typical example is Terry's FLOP in the game against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge,that mistake didn't put TERRY ON THE BENCH. Arguable since Makalele left Chelsea,there was never a player to fill his position.Essien did for a while but this player was always going forward to get goals,leaving the defense line vulnerable and since he came back from injury had the worst performance of the season.Romeo couldn't establish himself in that position,though the youngster still has a lot to prove.Miereles on the other hand can be so fustrating in that position,though its not his favoured place. RDM taking over brought light in the tunnel,brought out the talent that was buried on the bench,brought out the best defensive play in this respected player. I know you already have a clue who this player is,its no other person than our own John Mikel Obi. John Mikel Obi,found himself back in the starting line up when RDM took over,this was another chance for him to prove his critics wrong,that he did and since then he has been in the best form of his life. John Mikel Obi's composure in big games thrilled me to my bone,especially in the games against Barcelona and Bayern Munich.It made me proud as a Nigerian seeing my fellow country man performing at the expense of the most feared attacking midfielders in the world. He was so excellent when he came up against Barcelona,dealing with the attacking forces of Messi,Xavi,Iniesta.He wasn't alone but the way he shielded his central defenders at Nou Camp was simply amazing and superb. He carried that same performance to the final shielding Luiz and Cahill from Bayern's midfielders especially when Robben tried to cut into the middle area from the left flank. He deserves credit for the way he played this season and should be rewarded for his hardwork.Take it or leave it,he played a vital role in the midfield and his presence in our matches this season helped us a lot. "STOP THERE", the man dressed in Black shouted.He was so sure the man driving the vehicle was going to comply,reason was that he was pointing a gun at his car,plus his colleagues were standing with him too.His colleagues were also dressed in black and were carrying guns too. These men are not your friendly nieghbours and this scene is not strange to Nigerian Citizens,I know this scene was never in the movie,I mean the sci-fi movie by Will Smith cause thats what you were all thinking of when you saw the title"Men in Black",but trust me these guys create better scenes that will make you scream. The Nigerian Government Name for these Men is the "Nigerian Police". One good news is that these men have been removed from our roads as they cause more menace than the actual robbers themselves,they cause more havoc than good on our roads.There have been series of accidents caused by them due to illegal extortion by the roadside and many citizens have lost their lives in the process. If every Nigerian was to present his or her own encounter with these Men In Black,am sure their stories will never end. The funniest part is that 80% of the Nigerian Police run away when Robbers are terrorizing the Society,not that I blame them,maybe the Government didnt provide them with the actual weapons that could match that of these Robbers but that is not an excuse for them to cause problem for te Nigerian citizens. I know a friend that use to tell me that if he sees a police and a thief and he has a chance to shoot one,he would shoot the Police rather than the thief,when i asked why?,he said"Because if I shoot the theif,the Police might end up arresting me for murder or as an accomplice rather than a medal for my braveness,but if i shoot the Police,then maybe the thief will just flee".I laughed but deep down I thought he could be right because our Nigerian Police have displayed worse behaviour that has brought much pain and sorrow to the citizens they swore to protect and one would wonder what the actually stand for?. Here are short stories descibing some of the injustice shown by the Nigerian Police: Story 1:This one happened in Ogun State some years back,A man went into the bush to ease his bowels when he surprisingly came across a "Ghana Must Go" bag full of money running into millions.He decided to act like a good samarithan and he took the money to a nearby Police Station only for him to be questioned and later arrested as a suspect to a robbery,nothing was said again about the money he found in the bush.My guess is that, they didnt want to share the loot with him so they framed him up. Story 2:This one is similar to the first story,A man found that his account was boosted with amount going into millions and when he alerted the police,they arrested him for fraudulent activities. Story 3:A man was shot down by A Police Officer in Ibadan,Oyo State Capital(Nigeria) because he refused to part with N20(Twenty Naira). This isnt the first time we have heard about Trigger Happy Policemen that loves to discharge bullets for fun and their removal from the road might have made our road safer but there are many other ways they still make us suffer unlawfully. Their common method is to arrive at the crime scene after an hour or so after the crime has taken place and arrest innocent citizens within the vicinity.They arrest as many as they can and put a bail out price of like N15,000 (Fifteen thousand naira) and above depending on the crime committed in the area.So many innocent people are in the prison for a crime they know nothing of while the guilty ones walk around freely. There are rumours that there is a particular prison in the Eastern Part of Nigeria,suspects are put in cells,when the cells can no longer accommodate them and nobody is coming to bail these suspects,what they do is kill and bury them to create room for other suspects coming in, when the relatives of these people come there,they tell them they have been transfered to their Headquaters. We know its not all of them that are bad and some have risked their lives protecting we citizens,we appreciate those ones and Pray that God should reward them and their respective families,but the bad eggs among them should be exposed and prosecuted accordingly for their injustice and wickedness. Tragedy struck in Lagos on Sunday,4th June when an airplane carrying 153 passengers crashed into a two-storey Residential Building. It is verified that the airplane belonged to Dana Airline and its pilot was an American man.The pilot before the crash reported an engine problem and it is confirmed that all 153 passengers died.Since it crashed into a Residential Building,it is also believed that no fewer than 10 people lost their lives in the buidilng,though the actual number of casualties are not accurate at this time as many are still feared dead. The Dana airplane was travelling from Abuja to Lagos and was on its final approach when the crash happened. We pray that the souls of the departed rest in Peace. This is not the First time we are experiencing this in Nigeria,the first major Plane crash took place on the 20th of Nov 1969 when a Govt owned VC-10 Aircraft flying in from London crashed as it was about to land at the Ikeja Airpot. All 87 passengers and crew died.Since then Nigeria has experienced 48 other Air crashes excluding that of Sunday. We cant forget the Bellview Airline 210 and Sosoliso Airline 1145 crash and most recently the helicopter crash that was transporting our Police officers. We ask the Aviation Authorities in our country to please do their possible best to protect the lives of our citizens.Let them scutinize all our aircrafts and those that are old and unfit should be banned from flying instead of being managed.Proper maintenance should be carried out always before and after each flight.Well thats my own lame way,they know better ways, as long as the fastest means of transportation in Nigeria is safe for its citizens.
