It was as if Gomez,a striker that is always credible in front of goals forgot his scoring shoes as he threw away every chance to takehis team ahead. Robben on the other hand has proven that he cant be trusted in big games,a player that had lots of possession but his final touch wasalways letting him down. Just like he did against Dortmund in the League,loosing a penalty and lots of awful chances which would have helped Bayern to the title,the same he repeated against Chelsea blowing away the only chance they had in Extra-time. Ribery another player of class,was held downsurprisingly by Bosingwa and had a little chance to make any difference,though he gota penalty out of Drogba at the cost of an injury and had to be substituted. Bayern were luckier to have good replacemnts for their suspended players,no wonder they were celebrating their victory before the game even started but Chelsea having lost four players to suspension and two central backs that played the game with pain for over an hour weren’t the favourites but as fate was on our side,we defied all odds and now we have won our first Uefa Champions League. Oh how our haters celebrated when Muller scored that goal with only few minutes left,who would have thought the introduction of our £50m man will provoke our first corner which will eventually lead to the Drog(the first Hero of the night) scoring our equalizer two minutes from time.Drogba rose above all to nod home a powerful header giving us restoring our hope of taking the title,that goal shattered so many hearts.Even when Proenca gave Bayern a penalty,after turning down a similar one when Torres was brought down wrongly by Boateng,I was devastated but when Cech(the second Hero of the night) saved from the eventual spot kick,i was over the moon and I knew then that the Cup was ours. Remember no English team has ever won a German side in a Penalty shoot out ,and no London side has ever won a UCL trophy,clearly the odds were on us but hey who cares,we have come this far and we wont let what happened in Moscow repeats itself. Frank Lampard choose the goal-post facing the Munich fans for the penalty kick off and one would wonder what he was thinking but it seems that was what gave us confidence and no wonder when Juan Mata missed,we didnt still give up. Cech,the same that has givens us many headaches this season saved three penalties in one night and when the Chelsea Legend stepped up to take the final kick which may as well be the last in Chelsea shirt,everyone held their breath,praying it wont be a repeat of what happened in Moscow when Terry threw away our chance of making history.The Drog was in control,from a hero,to a vallian,what next?, He calmly sent Neur the wrong way and that goal gave Chelsea their first ever Champions League.
